Phone and Broadband Packages

I had the most amazing experience the other day that started with a quest for some of the best phone and broadband packages that I could get. I don’t know about you, but I love a screaming fast internet and all that it offers. I’m old enough to remember the days of dial up, and things to day are so much better. Which prompted me to find out about phone and broadband packages, because I’d heard that you could save quite bit of money that way.

I used to have a cable modem and a separate provider for my phone line. A buddy of mine convinced me that this was going the way of the dinosaurs, and I should switch to some phone and broadband packages that were available at the time. So I picked up my phone (not yet on any phone and broadband package) and started dialing away. I talked to this really cute sounding girl, who explained to me all the benefits of what I was looking for.

With phone and broadband packages, you can get some amazing savings. Depending on how often you call long distance, which is another story altogether, you can save some money. And depending on how fast your upload/download speeds are, you can get some amazingly fast connections. With fiber optic technology the way it is, I was able to get some connections ten times faster than my cable modem.

Of course, she told me that this wasn’t going to be true for everybody, this was only because I lived particularly close to a node that wasn’t shared by too many other people. Perhaps in the future, when phone and broadband packages become more popular, I’ll have to upgrade my service to the top tier of service. As it stands now, the broadband and phone package that she sold me was incredibly useful.

What happened next was quite amazing. While she was explaining to me all the benefits I’d get with the latest phone and broadband deals, compared to normal phone and broadband packages, she started to sound a little bit familiar. At first I was a bit cautious, so I wasn’t paying any attention to her voice.

But when I realized that phone and broadband packages were going to be the perfect thing for me, I loosened up a little bit.

And you know what? This sweet sounding girl that was telling me all about the amazing phone and broadband deals to choose from turned out to be my ex-girlfriend from college. We parted on good terms, so there wasn’t any bad blood or anything. She’s married with a couple of kids.

Me? I’ve got some amazing phone and broadband packages to look forward to.
